LOUISE JONES JOHNSON LOVES FAMILY! Louise was born and raised by Mose and Beatrice Jones along with 14 other siblings, and she still remembers her mother’s diligent prayer for the entire family: “I pray that the love of God would run from heart to heart and breast to breast.”  The family’s motto was, together we all shall stand so if divided we still won’t fall. Today, Louise lives by that same motto and shares it with multiple generations of family, friends, church members, co-workers and many others. Her sense of family and community has since expanded and shows up in diverse ways. Louise was married to the late Jerry Johnson, and together they raised six children. They also have 13 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Louise is happily retired, but she still serves faithfully as an Evangelist at her church Liberty Christian Southeast and assists with the duties of church administration. Louise is seasoned in
intercessory prayer and spiritual warfare. Her spiritual gifts are Prophecy, Healing, and Ministry of Helps.

Louise Johnson was the first African American female to serve 20 years as a board member for the Franklin Parish School Board, Winnsboro Louisiana where she also taught adult literacy.  During her tenure as a board member, she was unanimously elected as the first African American woman to serve as board president. In 1965 Louise was one of the first African American females (they hired two on the same day) to be hired at Farmers Home Administration (FHA) for administrative tasks / duties. Louise also assisted the State of Louisiana for years in foster parenting and caring of children who had been abandoned, abused, and disabled. Louise was a seamstress for 30 years and today still finds her joy in sewing, and she loves playing games, Bible-study, encouraging others, cooking, canning, and preserving multiple food types.

Pastor Leroy Jones ~ Vice President

LEROY JONES was born fighting the demonic force of asthma during a time when there was no money for medication, no vehicles to transport to hospitals, or doctors however his His parents were God-fearing, praying people who raised him and his siblings with faith in God. As he got older he outgrew the asthma, but at the young age of 17 Leroy chose to explore the wide world of drugs and alcohol which became his new best friends. Leroy lived many years on a path of destruction, yet he always knew it was God that was keeping him. Leroy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, on June 29, 1986, and was filled with the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit that same day.

In 2015 the Holy Spirit moved upon Leroy’s heart to go to Greensburg, Louisiana to pray and encourage people, and it was during this season the Holy Spirit revealed to Leroy the name of a ministry, Tree of Life Ministries of Greensburg, LA. In 2018 Leroy established Tree of Life Ministries of Greenburg in the State of Louisiana. In 1990-2020, Leroy returned to school at Don Bradford Bible College and received his Associate Degree in Divinity. In 2023. Leroy launched the ministry as a church and moved from under the tent outside into a building rent free, where people come weekly to hear and experience the love of God. In 2024 Leroy still has the outreach ministry and also has church services inside the building. BrendaFisher pic.jpeg

Brenda Fisher ~ Director |Chairperson

I am Brenda Fisher, a life-time resident of Houston Texas. I am a widow whose husband transitioned after 43 years of marriage. Together we raised two children, a son and a daughter and was later blessed with the responsibility of raising two grandchildren and now a great grandson. I am currently retired after working over 40 years in the Human Resources industry for financial institutions, banks, hospitals, oil companies, and also in case management for the Texas Department of Human Services.  I was introduced to the ministry of The Vessels of Honor Intercessory Prayer Ministry almost immediately after the loss of my beloved husband. I was in such a broken state.

The Vessels of Honor Ministry was a tremendous blessing in my life, and I am convinced without a doubt, that I am here today because of the consistent prayers, encouragement, support, and biblical teachings I received from members of the ministry. Even members of my family were strengthened and blessed because of the prayers that went forth. I have always and will always have a love for serving people, but after my time with the Vessels of honor my passion has increased. I thank God for what He is doing during this season of my life.
